Sir,

With reference to paragraph 2 of your Despatch No. 164 of the 30th of May last and in continuation of Mr. May's Despatch No. 279 of the 5th of July, I have the honour to transmit in accordance with paragraph 3(b) of Mr. Chamberlain's Despatch No. 79 of the 9th of March, 1901, the accompanying paper of particulars respecting the service of Mr. J. W. Norton-Kyshe.

2. I have approved of the grant of a pension of $1,247.11 a year to Mr. Kyshe in respect of his Hongkong service, up to the 18th May last from and after which day his retirement was to date, the pension being payable in England at the privileged rate of 3/8 to the dollar.

3. I shall be glad to be informed of the date upon which Mr. Kyshe ceases to draw half-salary in order that the necessary adjustment on account of the difference between his half-pay and his pension may be made locally in respect of the salary of Mr. A. Seth as instructed in your Despatch No. 216 of the 13th July.

4. I have also to request that the Crown Agents...
